Power Fiber Cabling System

Powered Fiber Cabling System is het hybride systeem van CommScope waarin glasvezel en stroomdraden in dezelfde kabel zitten, zodat apparatuur ver buiten het bereik van een gewone Ethernet-verbinding toch data en voeding krijgt zonder lokale netaansluiting. Rexcom is door CommScope aangewezen distributeur voor Nederland en België. Het systeem bestaat uit powered fiber cable op OS2-vezel in een 2- en een 4-vezeluitvoering, de voedingen en power units aan de kant van de technische ruimte, en de extenders die aan het verre eind weer een Power-over-Ethernet-poort opleveren.
